Common Material Types
Genuine Leather
Sheepskin: Soft and delicate, such as Bata women's beige sheepskin loafers, combining comfort and elegance.
Cowhide: Includes full-grain cowhide, suede cowhide, split cowhide, etc., which are highly durable. For example, Boduejia LEVEL loafers use suede cowhide, while some styles use split cowhide for the lining to improve breathability.
Patent Leather: High-gloss, shiny surface, commonly seen in brands like Prada, such as Prada patent leather loafers.
Synthetic Leather
PU Leather (Polyurethane Synthetic Leather): Lower cost, easy to maintain, widely used in affordable brands like Xiyu, ZHR, Jufan, etc.
Microfiber Leather (High-Density Polyurethane): Similar texture to genuine leather, wear-resistant and fold-resistant, used as the outer layer for some "affordable alternative" loafers.
