Flats Handmade Shoes

The most classic method for making handmade flat shoes is the Goodyear welt construction. The upper and sole aren't glued together; they're sewn stitch by stitch. This makes the shoes exceptionally stable. Even more impressively, the sole can be replaced when worn out, while the upper remains usable. A pair of shoes can last for many years.

We use the finest leather. Top-grain cowhide has a natural texture and excellent resilience. Sheepskin is even softer, making it feel as if you're wearing nothing at all. The lining is entirely leather-either pigskin or sheepskin-which is absorbent and breathable. You can wear them barefoot without feeling stuffy.

We have extremely high standards for stitching. Our experienced craftsmen have keen eyesight; the stitch spacing must be even, and the thread smooth. Even a single crooked stitch is unacceptable. The left and right shoes must be symmetrical to achieve a beautiful shape. We minimize the use of glue, leaving no marks on the upper and preserving the original appearance of the leather.

Sometimes we do custom orders. Customers bring us a picture and request a particular style. Our craftsmen replicate it exactly, adjusting the shoe last to ensure a perfect fit. After making the shoes, we have the customer try them on and make alterations if needed. This work can't be rushed; a single pair of shoes takes many days to complete.
